Emily Jane White (USA)

"Darkly captivating" Mojo ****

"Emily Jane White makes music that’s not dissimilar to Chelsea Wolfe or Marissa Nadler (who she’s collaborated with), which means it’s delicate and folky but also genuinely dark." Brooklyn Vegan

"California singer-songwriter mixes folky tales of woe delivered in a stripped-down setting with stately songs backed by lush arrangements." Pitchfork

Emily Jane White is from Oakland, CA. She began performing under her own name in 2003 and released her first album 'Dark Undercoat' in 2007, with 'Victorian America', 'Ode to Sentience', and 'Blood/Lines', 'They Moved in Shadow All Together' (2016) following. White has cultivated a dedicated audience in Europe and North America. Her new album is set to be released on the French label Talitres (home of Micah P. Hinson, Motorama, previously The National, The Walkmen, etc…) in the fall of 2019, followed by a European tour.
